In this article, I am going to show you 15 factors that can cause you to fail.
1: Unwillingness to Taking Risks:
Success involves taking calculated risks. Risks taking does not mean gambling foolishly and behaving irresponsibly. People sometimes mistakes irresponsible and rash behaviour as risk taking. They end up with negative results and blame it on bad luck. Risk taking is relative. The concept of risk varies from person to person and can be a result of training. To both a trained mountain climber and a novice mountain climbing is risky but to the trained person it is not irresponsible risk taking.
2: Lack of Persistence:
when a problem seems insurmountable quitting may look like the easiest way out. It is true for every marriage job and relationship. winners are not those who never fail but those who never quits. Winners are stuck but not destroyed. We have all had our setbacks in life. But failing does not mean we are failures
3:Instant Gratification:
The desire to make a fortune overnight has made the lottery a flourishing business. We are living in an age of instant gratification. There is a pill for everything from waking you up to pulling you sleep. People want to take a pill to get rid of their problems. In the same way, when people want to be instant millionaires they take shortcuts and compromise on their integrity.
4: Lack of Priorities:
Setting priorities is crucial to success. What good is to make millions if you lose your health? What good is to take millions if you lose your family? What good is to take millions and lose your conscience? Is it worth it? Our priorities are based on our values. People make substitutions where they ought not to. For example in a relationship, they trade money and gift for affections and time. Some people find it easier to buy things for their children and spouse to compensate for their absence than to spend time interacting with them. Success does not come by reading and memorising the principles that lead to success but by understanding and applying them. Prioritising is one of the principles of Success.
5: Looking for Shortcuts:
If you become a neurosurgeon by taking a weekend course guess what would be the result? the result would be a disaster. so don't look for shortcuts. Because the easier way may actually be the tougher way.
6: Selfishness and Greed:
Individuals and organisations that have a selfish attitude have no right to expect growth. Their attitude is to keep putting themselves first without regard for the welfare of others. Greed always wants more. Needs can be satisfied but greed cannot. Greed is like a salt water. The more you drink the thirstier you get it. It is a cancer of the soul that destroys relationships. Greed comes out low Self Esteem.
7: Lack of conviction:
People who lack conviction take the middle of the road and guess what happens to those in the middle of the road. They get run over! People without conviction do not take a stand. They go along to get along because they lack confidence and courage. They conform in order to get accepted even when they know that the group is doing is wrong. They still going go along to get along.
8: Unwillingness to Plan:
It is unfortunate but true that most people spend more time planning a party or vacation than planning their lives. Experience shows that one properly planned minute saves four in execution. Achievers who want to ensure success plan carefully. If you have not planned for the unplanned that means you have not planned properly. A good general of the executive will always have plan A, plan B, plan C, plan D. Why? are they planning to fail? Absolutely not They are planning to succeed regardless of the obstacles.
9: Lack of Preparation:
Confidence comes from preparation which is nothing but planning and practicing. Ife we practice poorly we play poorly because we play as we practice. The difference b/w success and failure are the difference b/w doing exactly right and almost right. So prepare hard because preparation leads to confidence.
10: Not learning from Past Mistakes:
People who do not learn lessons from history are doomed. So if you don't want to fail again always learn from past it secured your present.
11: Lack of Discipline:
Have you ever wondered why some people never reach their goals? Why are they always frustrated with reversals and crises? Why do some people have continued success while others have the endless failure? If you want to achieve success in your life then maintain discipline in yourself.
12: Low Self-Esteem:
Low self-esteem is a lack of self-respect and self-worth. Low self-esteem leads to self-doubt. It leads to abuse of one's self and others
There is a story about a farmer who planted pumpkins on his land. For no reasons he put a small pumpkin hanging by the vine into a glass jar at harvest time, he saw that the pumpkin he had put into the jar had grown evidently only to the shape and size of the jar while the others pumpkin grew to their full potential. Just as the pumpkin could not grow beyond the boundaries restricting it you cannot perform beyond the boundaries of your self-concept whatever those boundaries may be.

13: Lack of Knowledge:
The first towards knowledge is awareness of areas of ignorance. The more knowledge a person gets the more he realises what areas he is ignorant in. A person who thinks he knows everything has the most to learn.
14: Fatalistic Attitude:
A fatalistic attitude prevents people from accepting responsibility. People with fatalistic attitudes attribute success and failure to luck. They resign themselves to their fate. They accept the predestined future written in their stars. They believe that regardless of their effort whatever has happened will happen. Hence they never put any effort and complacency becomes a way of life. People with fatalistic attitude wait for things to happens than making them happen. Success is a matter of luck asks any failure.
15: Goal Setting:
People with fatalistic attitude never set their goal. But Goals are important because they give us a sense of direction. Our destination determines the direction we take. Set your own goal if you want to achieve success in your life
keep your eyes on the goal use mind mapping and set a definite goal for yourself.
